Mining Division (NSW) - 365 Total Recordable Injury Free Days

On Wednesday; 17 March 2010 the WDS Mining NSW Operations were successful in achieving an extraordinary performance of 12 months Total Recordable Injury free with a TRIFR of 0.00. To achieve this result the NSW Operations have worked over 500,000 hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), Disabling Injury (DI) or Medical Treatment Injury (MTI).

Along with achieving this result in itself, WDS has also succeeded in promoting and developing a positive safety culture within our workforce. This culture is evident on site through feedback given from our employees stating that safety is a must and getting injured is preventable and unacceptable.
